Issue
HDPE root barrier material is the mechanical guides that redirect tree roots down and away from hardscapes, preventing costly root damage while preserving the health and beauty of mature trees. The elongated sheet of flexible root barrier material has a top horizontal edge, a bottom edge parallel to the top edge, an internal plane and an external plane, and multiple vertical folds extending across the elongated sheet from the top edge to bottom edge. The folds are aligned parallel to one another along the length of the sheet, and each includes two vertical walls connected by a third wall, establishing a distal U-bend or corrugation. The elongated sheet can be sized by scoring, then cutting or snapping one of the bends of the folds. This will result in the corrugations on opposite ends of the sheet fitting tightly within one another, creating a hold that effectively replaces the traditional clip function.
Solution
The HDPE barrier material uses high quality polyethylene raw resin. The main component is 97.5% HDPE, about 2.5% of carbon black, anti-aging agent, antioxidant, UV absorber, stabilizer and other excipients. It is made of the most advanced Italy automatic geotechnical production by three layer co extrusion technology. All products are produced in accordance with American gri standards and ASTM test standards, with complete specifications, thickness of 0.2mm ~ 3mm and width of 6m ~ 12M, which meet the requirements of environmental protection, sanitation, municipal engineering and other fields.
HDPE Root barrier liner can be a difficult place to grow trees. The pressures of a city restrict planting space, and trees don’t always get the care they need. These trees were planted with HDPE Root barrier in a linear style, putting the protection where it is most needed, on the sidewalk and curb side. In this case the linear style gave a greatly expanded soil volume and the trees have responded, developing into a true neighborhood asset, and HDPE Root barrier material has prevented any sidewalk damage or liability concerns from a trip and fall hazard.
- When laying the impermeable root barrier material, it is necessary to fold about 10-30cm around to the wall, and then fix the impermeable membrane to the wall with steel nails. After the impervious membrane is laid, we can directly lay protective materials such as soil, floor, marble, brick, roof garden lawn and artificial turf on the impervious membrane, and then we can plant flowers and plants. - Both the flower and grass waterproof root separation type and the shrub waterproof root separation type refer to the difference of ingredients taken in the R & D and production of HDPE impervious root barrier material. To be sure, the shrub waterproof root separation type impervious root barrier material has strong puncture resistance to plant roots, is durable and is not easy to crack. On the contrary, the material price of this formula is much higher than that of the flower and grass waterproof root separation type.

- The construction method is to lay the impermeable root barrier material first, and then open holes at the corresponding position of the stone column on the impermeable membrane. Please note that the shape of the hole is consistent with the shape of the ground obstacles, keep the hole on the impermeable membrane smaller than the stone column, then let the HDPE impermeable membrane pass through the stone column, and seal and fix it with the special adhesive for impermeable membrane developed by BPM.
