Issue
Our Philippine customer left a message on the BPM geomembrane website, and told us that he needed to purchase HDPE pond liner for fish ponds and asked about the price. We learned by email that he is an aquaculture company in Philippine . The customer always uses traditional fish ponds to raise fish, but the traditional fish ponds made from earth pits can not isolate soil pollution, which makes fish and shrimps often sick. He hopes that we can solve this problem and propose a new plan. According to customer’s requirements, our BPM team has 11 years of experience in exporting HDPE geomembrane pond liner and we recommended round tanks to him. Because fish tank has become a popular way of aquatic fish farming in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, Kenya and other countries.
Solution
The fish tank project recommended by BPM is a new type of fish farming method, which is more efficient than previous fish pond farming. On the other hand, it can effectively avoid soil pollution and can purify to fish water in the controlled way. According to the environment of the fish pond, we recommended 1.0mm HDPE thick rubber pond liner to customers for fish tank projects in aquaculture. BPM communicated with customers on WhatsApp. According to our domestic fish tank installation experience, the larger the diameter of the circular tank, the easier it is to install, and the larger the diameter of the circular tank, the less loss of HDPE pond liner material. In the end, we confirmed with the customer a diameter of 9 meters and a height of 2 meters for each fish tank. Then we sent the thick rubber pond liner sample and TRI test certificate to the customer, as well as the fish tank project cases we have done in the past. The pond liner samples was arrived in Malaysia one week later, and the customer was very satisfied with the quality of the HDPE pond liner samples. In order to further deepen the understanding of our products, the Malaysian customer told us that he needed a video factory inspection. We gave the customer a live video to introduce in detail the complete process from raw materials to production to loading. The customer very much agreed with this production model. After the customer saw our production process and the tensile test experiment, they recognized the professionalism of BPM thick rubber pond liner. After we confirmed all the details about the order with the customer, the customer paid us a 30% deposit. Considering that the customer urgently requirements, we arranged the production as soon as possible, and worked overtime to produce, guaranteed the quality and quantity, and completed the production within three days. The customer received the HDPE geomembrane liner and completed it under the guidance of our engineers. After all installations, we have maintained a mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation relationship with our customers ever since.
Benefits
(1)High intensity. The tensile strength of thick rubber pond liner can reach 18MPa, the tensile strength at break can reach 35MPa, the peel strength is 31kN/m, the shear strength is 33kN/m, and the ductility is good. The elongation at yield is 13% to 16%, and the elongation at break is 700% to 800%. It has good surface compliance and weather resistance. When it really fails, the strain is about 1000%.and especially for a round fish tank, the ground and sides need to bear the pressure alone. This physical characteristic makes fish farming safer and more durable.
(2)Good anti-seepage ability. The anti-seepage coefficient of thick rubber pond liner is less than 1×10-13cm/s, which can ensure that the leachate will not leak and contaminate the land due to the liner, rainwater will not pass through the covering layer of the closed site, increase the amount of leachate.The water storage capacity is good, the cost can be reduced in the process of fish farming, and the efficiency of fish farming can be improved.
(3)Good chemical stability. Thick rubber pond liner is the material with the best chemical stability among all HDPE Pond Liner Sheet materials. HDPE Pond Liner Sheet has good corrosion resistance.And it has no irritating smell, will not cause harm to the fish, and ensure the healthy growth of the fish.
(4)A fish tank can isolate pollution, and it can provide fish with a safe and hygienic growth environment. Compared with fish that grow in traditional fish ponds, fish tanks can reduce the damage of soil pollution to fish and reduce the chance of disease.
